The Porsche 914 is here to stay!

This cute little " Where is the motor at?" looking Porsche has gone from the college kids car to the full-out racing Porsche machine or a collectors’ car. The 914 Porsche is a very popular car as a stepping stone into the Porsche mainstream. Upkeep is very affordable compared to other Porsche models. The handling is superb. If you want an economical daily driver or a weekend warrior the Porsche 914 is a very hard car to beat. We have seen the interest of the Porsche 914 increase steadily, since the arrival of the Porsche Boxster.

The Porsche 914 was introduced in 1969 and was loved from its beginning by some and others not so loved. It was half Porsche and half VW. The odd little car was first sold for $3595.00, what a deal for a brand new Porsche. There where three different Porsche 914’s produced the 914, 914-6 and the rare 916. The Porsche 914 body shape was designed by Gugelot GmbH and was assembled at the Karmann’s factory in Osnabruck. The two main players in getting the Porsche 914 in progress where Ferry Porsche and Heinz Nordhoff. Well we are glad they brought us this little jewel.
